If you like quirky pop songs, you'll find your home at Soda Bar on Saturday with an appearance by Dent May.

Saturday is seeing a lot of sold-out shows, but if you're lucky, you'll be able to snake a ticket to see Dr. Dog at the Observatory. It's been a while since the band has graced San Diego on tour, and from what our friends in other parts of the country who've see it have said, you're in for a really good time with these Philly rockers. Steve Poltz' 7th Annual 50th birthday jam is sold out at the Belly Up and Autograf are sold out at the Casbah, but you're still in luck, because Soda Bar actually has two awesome back-to-back shows -- an early show with singer/songwriter Griffin House and a later show with Mississippi's Dent May, who plays music so diverse he's impossible to pigeonhole. That including an entire album on ukulele and a holiday song called "I'll Be Stoned for Christmas." He's awesome -- if you like quirky pop songs, you'll find your home at Soda Bar on Saturday.
