I don't know about you, but I love when a solid Thursday night lineup comes around -- it always foreshadows a good weekend to come. Tonight, San Diego's own Burning of Rome triumphantly return to the Soda Bar with the amazing rock of Sleep Lady and the Roads. At the Casbah, the female half of Fiery Furnaces, Eleanor Friedberger, takes the stage with members of Yeasayer and MGMT, and our friends at Invisible Children have a benefit with a local showcase at the Tin Can. For a really fun event, you can try to grab tickets to the changing of the barrels at the Karl Strauss Brewery, with a special performance by The Blackout Party, and for those of you willing to make the drive, Colbie Caillet performs at Pala Casino. Certainly a great night of music whatever you choose.
