The Return of Interpol

Rosemary Bystrak

Interpol have made a habit of hitting San Diego at least once a year for the last several years, and we certainly appreciate their loyalty, even if Carlos D is no longer a part of the band.

It feels like Interpol was just here, though maybe that's because you can't listen to radio without hearing them.

If you're a fan, this is a great thing. Personally, anyone who sings my name in a song (Rosemary/Heaven restores you in life/You're coming with me/Through the aging, the fearing, the strife, from "Evil") gets extra bonus points. You'll wanna make sure you bring earplugs, because the sound at RIMAC arena can get wonky, and my experience with openers School of Seven Bells has taught me that earplugs are not just suggested but required.

If you can't make it up to UCSD, Casbah, Ruby Room and Soda Bar all have solid lineups. For an extra special treat, you can head to Bar Pink to catch some local ladies, Gayle Skidmore and Vanja James, who've just returned from a short California tour.
