We're almost halfway through February, and New Year's Eve seems like such a distant memory for most of us. Let's take a second to recall just how many options for parties, shows and events there were on that night. Like many others, I was at the Lafayette Hotel when the clock struck 12, but that meant that I missed a great lineup at the Casbah, headlined by Terraplane Sun. Fortunately, the guys just live a short drive up the coast, and on Wednesday, they're back with a fundraiser for Project RAW at the Belly Up. This will definitely feel like a homecoming show, even if it's just a couple members who actually grew up here. Around town, Secret Chiefs 3 rock the Casbah, the Lovebirds serenade the TIn Can, and Pontiak will melt faces at Tower Bar.
