I don't know about you, but I was hoping that December would mean everything slows down, everyone chills out a little, and we can just skate through the holidays with some good music and chill vibes. So far, though, my December couldn't be further from that, but the great shows are certainly showing up. On Friday, you can catch the return of the Album Leaf. They haven't played in town for more than a year, and I can't imagine a prettier Friday night vibe than seeing these guys under the vaulted ceilings and reflective stained glass of the Irenic. Meanwhile, Whistle Stop is going to get rowdy with the Spits in San Diego for the first time in what feels like forever. Warsaw, featuring members of Ilya, join our friend Robin Roth for Pussy Galore at Blonde, and Jackie Greene brings his bluesy rock to the Belly Up. There are excellent options all over town, so do yourself a favor and see some live music.
