Sounds Like San Diego: December 9

Singer Ed Kowalczyk of Live fame performs solo at the Belly Up on Tuesday.

In the '90s, Live were at the top of the alternative charts. Over time, the band produced more and more records in such a way that their music was all over radio -- alternative, triple-A, Top 40 and even soft-rock leaning stations. The band has performed in arenas all over the country and the world, and then took an indefinite hiatus. Vocalist Ed Kowalczyk still has his chops, however, so to see him perform solo at the Belly Up will be quite a special show for fans of the band. Pretty much the same can be said for this evening's show at the House of Blues with Third Eye Blind. If you're looking for something you're far less likely to hear on radio and will melt your face, head to the Casbah for Exumed.
