No Laughing Matter

There are a lot of people who would love to participate in San Diego's music scene but can't make it out on a Friday or Saturday night. Instead of getting to hang out and go to shows with their buddies, service industry workers are the ones behind the bars slinging drinks or waiting tables so you can have a good time with your friends. Often rewarded with Industry Nights on Sundays or Mondays, the nights generally offer cheap drinks but live music is rarely involved. That changes tonight at U-31 when the Silent Comedy play a service-industry appreciation show at U-31. For a mere $5, you get three great local bands and cheap drink specials. This might be your last chance to see the Silent Comedy before 2011, so come out and support. And if you're in the service industry, fear not, because you probably don't have to wake up early tomorrow.
