    NEWSLETTERS

Today I am a conflicted blogger -- and a prime example of an annoying so-called First World problems. I have been a fan of Pete Yorn since Music for the Morning After. Since that album came out in 2001, I've probably seen him perform more than 20 times, including a concerts, festivals, a few private radio concerts and even a taping for an HBO music show that no longer exists. To say I'm a fan would be putting things lightly. You can read Dustin Lothspeich's full review of his new project, The Olms, but it would seem a natural progression that I'd be crazy eager to see this show tonight at the Casbah. And believe me, I am. But I'm also conflicted. That's because there's this other incredible band, My Jerusalem, who will be performing at the Soda Bar. The band is from Austin, Texas, and has two great records under its belt. These guys have come to San Diego a few times now, and it would be a total bummer to miss them. So, yes, I'm conflicted, and I have no idea which show I'll choose. And, of course, this whole dilemma doesn't even take into consideration Will Hoge, a beautiful singer/songwriter from Nashville who's making an appearance at the Griffin. Talk about First World problems.
