I'm not sure why the first Friday of December is always the busiest night of the month, but that is the case again this year. Little Hurricane are sold out at the Casbah. and Slightly Stoopid are sold out at the Observatory. Star 94.1 has its holiday concert at the Civic Theatre, and Brother Tiger are at Soda Bar. I've got my eyes on the Irenic for the quirky and catchy indie-pop of Tanlines, and since it's an all-ages show, you can bring the kiddos. If you do choose to hit one of Fridayt's major holiday events in the city, be patient and be smart -- parking and traffic will be rough around Balboa Park and anywhere nearby.
