On just about every Monday of the year, we celebrate with the Anti-Monday League at the Casbah, the long-running Monday night music showcases presented by Tim Pyles, but who can complain about a Monday when it coincides with Christmas Eve? Every year, music lovers flock to the Casbah for Exile on Kettner Boulevard. Mario Escovedo leads a mix of all-star musicians as they perform Rolling Stones covers all night long. It's a chance to catch up with old friends, see musicians who've graced San Diego with their talent over the years and a chance to enjoy some holiday cocktails without judgment. The show is always free, but the bar always reaches capacity, so come early, stay late and enjoy a Christmas Eve tradition in San Diego.

Monday, Dec. 24:

  • Exile on Kettner Blvd. @ Casbah
  • Toothless George, the Last Years, A Zillion Happy Volts @ Eleven
  • Dirty Mondays, with DJ Gabe Vega @ The Saloon (Encinitas)
  • Pyrate Punx @ Tower Bar
  • Dave Scott & Monsoon Jazz @ Croce's
  • DJ John Phillips @ Humphreys Backstage Live
  • Electric Waste Band @ Winston's
  • Karaoke @ Til-Two Club
  • Open Mic @ Lestat's
  • Karaoke @ Coyote Bar & Grill
  • Doug Allen @ The Kraken
