Gary Shuffler has been a heartbeat to the San Diego music scene. Whether performing in one of his many bands, or working at just about every venue setting up staging, loading in bands, or working one of the many unsung jobs that make concerts happen -- if you don't know him, you should. Last week was his birthday, but tonight we all celebrate as he reappears as Ziggy Shuffledust with the Spiders From Mars. With the passing of Bowie this year, it will be celebratory but don't be surprised if there are some tears, too. Catch it at the Casbah.
