Sounds Like San Diego: Dec. 22

Bulletproof Stockings bring Hasidic indie-rock to the Casbah Tuesday

It's the Tuesday before Christmas, so what better way to enjoy the night than with the all-female Hasidic indie-rock of Bulletproof Stockings? The band from Crown Heights, New York, would prefer an all-female audience in accordince with Jewish law; however, the Casbah obviously will not discriminate, and anyone who buys a ticket is welcome. Opening this show is Mittens, making it a strong women power show. Meanwhile, expect some locals all over town, with Juice Box bringing soul and funk to Soda Bar, the Bad Vibes at the Merrow for Halloran's local night, and Future of Forestry bringing their ambient sounds to House of Blues. For a fun tribute night, consider Abbey Road at the Belly Up.
