The dynamic two-piece appearing at SoundDiego LIVE on Thursday talk about how they got their name, and why it's a good thing to have less to worry about. Check out their website: http://www.thegetdownautomatic.bandcamp.com
When touring bands slow down, the local shows heat up. I've had the opportunity to book several shows this month, and tonight you can come enjoy some of my favorites together in one night. I keep going back to the Get Down Automatic because I just can't get enough of their bluesy rock and think they've created something really special. The Whiskey Saints are coming back down from L.A. just for this show, and there's no telling how long it will be before they come back in the new year, so don't miss them. Finally, Echo Revolution is playing their final show of the year and have some big things coming in 2012. The last time I caught the band, I couldn't believe the transformation they had made, and I think you'll feel the same when you come down to the Casbah tonight. It's going to be a good night, and I hope you'll come join me.
