This winter slow-down that I keep expecting just hasn't quite hit yet. On Thursday, you can get some doom on with the Sword over at Brick By Brick, or catch the indie buzz with the Soft Moon at Soda Bar. Realistically, though, the night's hot ticket is at the Casbah for Alt-J. The indie-rock outfit recently won the coveted Mercury Prize and has already lined up to own the festival circuit next year. They certainly won't be playing small venues like the Casbah again so this show should be pretty special. If you don't have that hot ticket, try checking out the Treaties at Tin Can. Featuring members of Echo Revolution, the band has been working hard to gel with new members and sounds pretty promising moving into the new year.
