December is here and San Diego might actually be seeing some weather, but don't let that stop you from all of the great music happening around town. The kids of School of Rock get a shout out -- they'll be performing music from Radiohead's The Bends and OK Computer at the Irenic. This is an all-ages show, and older fans will enjoy the kids' spin on these modern classics while kids might be exposed to the music in a live format for their first time. Lou Niles, a mainstay for years as host of Loudspeaker on 91x, is back on the scene with a show tonight at the Griffin, with some solid local bands, led by the jazzy surf rock of the Mattson 2, and Steve Poltz and friends continue to give back to the community with a performance in Oceanside benefitting the Feeding the Soul Foundation. I'm looking forward to seeing Milo Greene at the Casbah, because their radio hit "1957" is infectious and the boy/girl harmonies just can't be topped. There are plenty of choices on Saturday, so dress warm and enjoy a beautiful Saturday in San Diego.
