Sounds Like San Diego: Dec. 17

Wednesdays goes country with a honky-tonk holiday show at Belly up and more

OK, OK, maybe the outlook for music isn't so bleak as the holidays approach. On Wednesday you can have a local face-melter of a night with Ghetto Blaster at the Casbah, or check out some of Jake Najor's new tunes with Taurus Authority at Bar Pink. Things get a little bit country at the Belly Up with Nancarrow, Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash and Brawley. If you're looking for a touring act, check out Soda Bar for L.A.'s Francisco the Man, who just released a debut on Fat Possum and are being hailed by blogs like Consequence of Sound as a band to watch. Plenty of choices to get you over the midweek hump.
