Who would've thought that a Tuesday night would offer up so many great live music options? Our friends at Filter magazine and the Hard Rock Hotel once again team up for their "Soundcheck" series, this time with not just a great headliner in Black Lips, but with Allah-Las as well. These semi-monthly shows bring big acts to 207 on the groundfloor of the Hard Rock Hotel and are absolutely free just for submitting an RSVP.

Meanwhile, our friends at Sezio have teamed up with the Soda Bar to welcome the return of L.A.'s Avi Buffalo, a young band that's already been successful on the indie circuit. Avi Buffalo are doing a bit of a San Diego residency and are always worth seeing. It's a great night for music indeed, so don't get stuck on the couch when there's all of this goodness right outside your door.
