When we first started SoundDiego, we believed that San Diego had an amazing pool of talent along with a great assortment of music venues, and we have only ever sought to highlight these points. Speaking for myself, I know that sometimes my view is a bit narrow because of where I live, and every once in a while I am called out for only highlighting music in the most central areas of the city. This is why it makes me so happy when SoundDiego LIVE moves around, in this case at Boar Cross'n in Carlsbad. It forces me to explore places that aren't in my usual route, and with two great bands from North County, it will be really cool to see them play among their hyper-local fans. The Howls and Trouble In the Wind are both amazing on their own, but throw in hosted Jack Daniel's and you really can't go wrong with the show. Be sure to RSVP ahead of time to get your drink tickets.
