Is Wednesday the new Thursday? With so many great shows tonight, it just might be. Down at the Casbah, Alberta Cross kick off their residency with a bang. The band has just been announced as fall tour support for Portugal. The Man, so you're going to want to see these guys in the intimacy of the Casbah while you can. (Remember how Everest blew up after their residency?) The show is $8, but if you mention the password -- which is also the band's latest single, "Money for the Weekend" -- you can get in for just $5. Over at Soda Bar, the Horde and the Harem promise to be a great indie bet for the night, while Tin Can, Habitat House, and Park Gallery all host great shows of their own. Decisions, decisions.
