Time to Get Wet

On SoundDiego TV this evening, you'll get the chance to see several bands that made their marks in the '90s. While some have continued as bands all along, others have reunited to perform their old hits. Before the TV show airs on NBC 7 at 1 a.m., you'll have the chance to see a couple '90s bands that, both as bands and as frontmen with solo careers, have continued to create music that has evolved with the times while stll playing the hits fans love. Toad the Wet Sprocket and Grant Lee Buffalo were both early indie rockers, but they eventually were played on all radio formats and, these days, often get grouped with radio-friendly adult contemporary artists. I still recall seeing Toad at Montezuma Hall many years ago and have been fortunate to see the band at venues large and small over time. Dulcinea was one of my favorite road-trip cassettes of all time. Taking the stage outdoors at Humphreys is certainly going to bring back some memories, and with their new record, perhaps make some new memories, too.
