Before you make your way to the Casbah for a stellar local lineup with FMera, the Short Eyes, and the Get Down Automatic, or down to Soda Bar for indie darlings Walk the Moon, you might want to swing by Monkey Bar Pub & Brewery, which opens tonight at 16th and F, (formerly the Jewel Box). Have yourself a Starfish Imperial Red or an Old Guardian, and check on the new digs, then take your pick of live music to please your senses.
