The local music scene is buzzing on Thursday with great bands filling in venues around town, peppered with a few touring acts to join in on the fun. Aural Gravy records has a bill at Lestat's, Joy headlines Tin Can and Lauren Ruggles put togethet a healthy lineup at the Griffin. I can't lay my money on the table, but it's a pretty safe bet that Shake Before Us and the Heartaches offer a pretty great head-to-head challenge between the Casbah and Bar Pink. But I'm really curious to check out Colleen Green at the Void because she has this amazing song that sticks to your brain called "Time in the World" off her new record Sock It To Me that is definitely worth seeking out.
