Sounds Like San Diego: April 3

There are some shows that roll through the Casbah that have a lot of hype and buzz behind them, resulting in a sell out. Then there are some acts who roll through who put out some of the greatest records of the year, but the Interwebs are a little behind the curve, and it is only after that artist passes through that people realize they missed their opportunity. I predict that to be the case this Wednesday at the Casbah as Secretly Canadian recording artist Phosphorescent passes through town. The album should be on your "must have" list, especially if you're a fan of performers like Father John Misty but with giant rises and climaxes like Jarvis Cocker. Be sure to get there early to catch Strand of Oaks, who will really make the indie-rock lovers swoon.
