Tonight is a grab bag of music variety in San Diego, which is just the way I like it. Casbah will be rocking with Dengue Fever, as Chomm Nimol sings in both English and Khmer, the language native to her Cambodian home. The band dark, dark, dark will bring some quiet "chamber folk" to the loft, and San Diegans Cuckoo Chaos and Shapes of Future Frames are joined by Gardens and Villa, who apparently were the talk of the night the last time they played. Maybe you should just ignore me and pick your show of the night by the crazy names these bands come up with, like Why Are We Building Such a Big Ship? Or, Combover Collective. Maybe someone needs to introduce Lonely Mattress Salesman to the Tuggs. I haven't quite made up my mind about where I'll end up, but San Diego doesn't really ever let me down.
