Sounds Like San Diego: April 27

If only the tourists knew that April is one of the best in San Diego, they'd certainly head here now instead of during May Gray and June Gloom. Let's keep this little secret from them as we gear up for spring festivals! This weekend alone you have three great options for some street fair action, complete with live music, vendors, and delicious food for the whole family. While Adams Avenue Unplugged is less street fair and more neighborhood stroll, there are about a dozen places to catch live tunes from stripped down bands and singer-songwriters. The Encinitas Street Fair tends to be a little smaller and focused on North County neighborhoods, it is Little Italy's ArtWalk that should have your attention. With artists like The Heavy Guilt, Colin Clyne, and Josh Damigo performing, your ears will be happy, but the bonus of Jesse LaMonaca, who has taken somewhat of a music hiatus as he returned to school, should be enough motivation to sway you down to the event. By nightfall you can grab dinner then make your way to the Casbah for Telekinesis who is surely going to just being aural icing on the cake.
