How fast do you think you can safely drive from the Loft at UCSD to Fluxx in the Gaslamp? I'm only asking because tonight you might want to consider seeing a rare reunion of Janu and the Whalesharks before you welcome Transfer home from their huge European tour. Janu is an indie-folk band that had roots in San Diego and Orange County before its members moved or went off to college. We know Transfer is great, but this is possibly the final Daydream Nation event at Fluxx, so if you're curious about the venue and would like to support one of San Diego's favorites at the same time, this is a worthy option. Of course, if you check out one or both of those shows, you're gonna have to be OK with missing great shows at the Casbah and Soda Bar, too. I haven't quite laid out my course of action, but you can be sure there will be at least two, if not three shows in my rounds tonight.
