Sounds Like San Diego: April 20

Twin Peaks and Hinds put a double whammy on the all-ages Irenic Thursday

If you thought last night's music choices were amazing, wait 'til you see what's in store for tonight! Lee Fields & the Expressions are known for their amazing live show, so it's no wonder their show at the Music Box -- with Chicano Batman opening, no less -- has been sold out for awhile. Same for the legendary Reverend Horton Heat. But if you're looking for other great shows for lack of planning, there are still tickets for Beach Slang who'll rock the Casbah, and Twin Peaks and Hinds at the Irenic (read our SoundDiego interview with Twin Peaks here). Califone has only played house shows their past couple tours, so it's great to see them on the last night of the Hideout (before it becomes Space Bar), and singer-songwriter Howie Day is even in town with a show at Lestat's. Mura Musa played a killer Coachella set last weekend so hopefully there will be some special guests at the Observatory tonight for that one, while Lil Wayne rolls through the Open Air Theatre. Wow. I'm gonna need a body double.
