Sounds Like San Diego: April 16

If ever there was a night to plan ahead, this is that night. We're exactly in the middle of Coachella weekends, so pretty much any Coachella band playing San Diego on Wednesday is sold out. There's the amazing Bonobo playing to a sold-out crowd at the Belly Up, while Temples will make the crowd worship them at the Casbah. Humphrey's hosts Broken Bells, which is as good a reason as any to bust out the kayaks and canoes, while 91X hosts a Next Big Thing show at U-31 with somekindofwonderful. Still, if you want to avoid crowds and hype, head to the Tower Bar to visit my friends from Denver known as the Knew. It's an awesome night all around; it's just too bad you can't be at more places than one at a time.
