I am so ready for Friday night and I have to say that, above all else, I'm excited about downtown for the first time in a long time. I mean, if downtown is your scene, more power to you, but when you're looking for great live music, there are places you look before ever leaning an ear to the Gaslamp. Fortunately the Propagandist has opened to offer a live music venue that is super relaxed (and has no cover!) So tonight you can welcome the Beautiful View home from their lengthy tour that started earlier this month. They'll be joined by Republic of Letters who haven't played in a bit, but are celebrating bassist Martin's 30th birthday. I don't usually spend my weekends downtown, but this is a show I can get behind. If it isn't for you, there are plenty of other great concerts all over town to tickle your fancy.
