If you loved alternative music in the '90s, Saturday is a pretty awesome night for you to get your fix. The Casbah welcomes back legendary rockers Mudhoney, who were pretty much the center of the entire Seattle grunge scene. They keep putting out great records, and on Saturday, you'll surely hear some great new stuff along with old favorites. Joined by Tar Halos and the Creepy Creeps jazzy poolside act, Creepxotica, this is going to be an awesome night. Back in the '90s there was this whole other amazing scene happening in the music underground, and, believe it or not, where I grew up in Chula Vista was a bit of an epicenter of the emo/hard core scene. I*Wish*I and Impel were two of the best of the genre, following in the footsteps of other local greats like Amenity and Unbroken, and you can see both of them on Saturday at Soda Bar. You might not see many Sharpied X's on the top of the hands, but I look forward to seeing a grip of old high school friends from back in the day. Maybe after the show we can wax nostalgic about Faque Burgers.
