Yes, it's true. After a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, I am elated to announce that I will be returning to San Diego radio on Tuesday, June 29, as the host of 102.1/KPRI's afternoon show, Monday through Friday, from 3-7 p.m.
In addition to KPRI, I will be maintaining my tremendous relationship with SoundDiego (daily blogs and videos) and the awesome folks at NBCSanDiego. Additionally, with this new opportunity, I look forward to continuing to integrate online media with traditional platforms.
A true, local independent radio station, KPRI is owned and operated by the San Diego-based Compass Radio Group and offers a unique format under the mantra, San Diego’s Finest Rock -- Then & Now. KPRI's program director -- or, my new boss -- had the following (kind) words to say about my addition: "Chris Cantore is a home-grown San Diegan. He embodies our passion for music and our love of this city. We're proud to have him leading and hosting one of our most important shows.
I am humbled/blessed by this new chapter. Thank you for your continued aloha and support.
Your friend and neighbor,
