Chicago Plays SoCal's Tumbling Town

Dreams are about to come true for some local classic-rock fans, thanks to the Sing With Chicago benefit.

The Grammy award-winning band Chicago has partnered with the American Cancer Society to fight breast cancer. In each tour city, fans can bid at an auction for a package that includes two premium tickets, backstage passes to meet the band and a chance to sing "If You Leave Me Now" onstage during the concert.

At the end of the tour, Chicago will give the highest overall bidder a guitar autographed by all its members.

The tour kicks off at Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula on April 1-2, so this is the best bet for Chicago fans in San Diego. Bidders must go online to Mission Fish to enter the auction; all proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society.

This is the second time that Chicago has done the auction tour. In 2010, the group brought Sing With Chicago to 62 cities in the U.S. Last year, the bids started at $500. Excited about their song in the spotlight, winners created the Facebook page I Sang With Chicago to spotlight their experience.

Virginia winner Jeron Hayes posted about this about his moment of fame:

"To say this was the opportunity of a lifetime is the understatement of the millennium! It was one of the greatest evenings of my life. To stand in front of that logo was just unreal. Thanks, Chicago, for helping us find a cure and giving some of us such an amazing moment!"
