On Friday, its Pussy Galore’s free monthly night at the Whistle Stop. Enjoy live performances from Gone Baby Gone and the Hollerin. Plus, I’ll be spinning indie, electro, Britpop, ‘80s and more with Terryn S throughout the night. You can grab more info here. Get your ska on at the Tin Can Ale House with the Amalgamated, Unsteady and the Combos. If you’re going to be making the rounds downtown, Dutch heavyweight house master Laidback Luke hits Voyeur. Groundfloor will open the festivities. and there’s no cover. Good times will be had by all!
On Saturday, lots of live music choices. There’s a matinee show at the Casbah featuring El Vez Punk Rock Revue and Schitzophonics. Bad Religion hits Soma. Common Sense is having their What’s It All About album release show at the Belly Up. Plus, Blackout Party headlines the night at Soda Bar, and Yo Gabba Gabba takes over the Civic Theatre. You can get your dance on at the Whistle Stop with Booty Bassment featuring DJs Dimitri and Rob. Dragon Lounge hits the Kava Lounge for a night of bass music. Plus, Club Sabbat takes over Numb3rs in Hillcrest. I’ll be DJing with Liquid Grey in the front room while Bloodline keeps it old school in the back room. Grab more info here.
