Here’s to the short work week and kicking off another action packed weekend in San Diego.

On Friday, Cuties for a Cause present the Spy Who Loved Me at the Ruby Room, an homage to ‘60s spy movies and the Mod subculture. Join the Cuties and bands the Amalgamated & 2000 Tons of TNT, DJ Erny El Rudeboy along with special guests, burlesque dancers Stone L'Amore & Lili Holiday. Costumes are encouraged and you can get more info here. Del tha Funkee Homosapien hits Porter’s Pub and you can check out details via this link. Another show you may want to go to is Midnight Rivals, Shake Before Us and Friends (Lucy’s Fur Coat, Rocket From the Crypt, Louis XIV) at the Whistle Stop. House of Fortune hits Quality Social with DJs Gabe Vega, Brady Spear and Kimbo. At Bar Pink, it’s Bonkers EDM dance party and Freak Bizarre featuring DJs Ubiquitous, Mikey Lion, Pork Chop and Jalen Lonestar is at the Kava Lounge. More DJ action with Blende and Brazzabelle at Voyeur and there’s no cover before 10:30 p.m. with your RSVP here. Rounding out my Friday picks is the Do LaB at Spin Nightclub featuring LowRiderZ Live (An-Ten-Nae, Laura Low and Auberon), FreQ Nasty and Trill Murray.

Friday and Saturday, the Burlesque Circus is happening at Sunset Temple. High-flying aerialists, sexy burlesque dancers, twisted contortionists, shimmying tribal belly dancers, hypnotizing LED hoop dancers, daredevil acrobats and flaming hot fire dancers will grace Sunset Temple’s stage in North Park for two nights. This includes headliners from Los Angeles, San Diego and even Paris, France. Valentina of UnityHoops.com has hand-picked each performer, all of which are known to be the very best in their field. Check out more info via this link.

This Saturday, it’s Club Sabbat at Numb3rs in Hillcrest. Lady Noir and I will be spinning the best in Gothic, industrial and more throughout the night. Grab more details here. The always-fun Bootie Basement is at the Whistle Stop with DJs Dimitri and Rob. This night happens every second and fourth Saturday of the month. Aqua Boogie, an underwater-themed party, is at the Kava Lounge featuring DJs Blackass Ringleader, Chad Fortin, Knottyboy and Nasty Neil. At Herringbone, Lovelife presents a Lovers Masquerade Ball with Tone of Arc Live. Formal attire and masks are encouraged. Get more info here.

Have a fabulous weekend and I’ll see you on the dance floor!
