Oh, My, DSC Returns to the Radio?

Over the weekend, Dave Rickards, host of the hugely popular Dave, Shelly, and Chainsaw radio program, posted the following update on his facebook page : "We're putting the band back together."  Elwood Blues.  In a previous post,  Rickards poised the question, What are you doing July 12th?  Met with a fury of comments from elated fans, it doesn't take a former morning show host to figure out, Dave, Shelly, and Chainsaw (DSC) are returning to the radio Monday, July 12, 2010 -- and, deservingly so.

Sidelined abruptly by Clear Channel in January 2010, the news of their dismissal from KGB-FM, sent shock waves through the community and local media.  In the wake of major shake-ups across the dial, in my humble opinion, a true void wasn't felt until DSC was removed from the San Diego airwaves.  Celebrating their 20th anniversary, a handful of questions remain unanswered, specifically, who will be in the band and where will they land ?  Ruth 66, Emily, and Chris Boyer are expected to return to the line-up, but no official word regarding their new home.  Rumors have suggested everything from satellite radio to a return to KGB, but as uber-fan Ivan Schleder pointed out on Rickards' facebook page "I'd listen if it were sitar music for the DSC!"

Stay tuned.
