Now You Can Finally Hear the Green Flash

Who doesn't like a little music with their fish?

The folks at Birch Acquarium unveiled their summer concert lineup on Monday. The series features one show a month, from May through September. Music -- and sunset -- fans will have to fork over $25 for each show, or $30 on the day of the show, to see see surf rocker Donavon Frankenreiter or shake their moneymakers with Fitz and the Tantrums.

Here's the full lineup:

  • May 18: Earl Thomas and the Blues Ambassadors
  • June 15: Donavon Frankenreiter
  • July 20: Fitz & the Tantrums
  • Aug. 17: Steve Poltz
  • Sept. 21: Brett Dennen

You have to be 21 to go to these three-hour shows, which are co-hosted by our friends over at KPRI-FM. Want to see them all? A season pass will cost you $120, with proceeds from all tickets going to support exhibits and educational prograns at Birch Aquarium at Scripps.

And don't worry, if all that water at the aquarium gets you thirsty, craft beers and wines will be available for purchase, as will happy hour appetizers.
