British electronic trio Nero will be dropping beats at San Diego’s Voyeur on April 17, along with DJ Deth Hertz.

Comprised of Daniel Stephens, Joseph Ray and Alana Watson, Nero have achieved national success for their melodic dubstep beats and have been nominated in BBC’s Sound of 2011 poll. Watson joined the group as a vocalist in 2008. Their debut album, Welcome Reality, made it to the number-one spot on the UK album chart.

Some of the band’s top hits include "Promises," "Innocence," "Me & You" and "Guilt". Nero’s additional works include composing an orchestral piece called "The Dubstep Symphony," which was performed in conjunction with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. The single "Me & You" was used in the new Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Color Campaign.

The group has a dedicated fan base through social media, with 135,000 Twitter followers and 877,000 “likes” on Facebook.

Nero will also be performing at both weekends of the popular music festival Coachella. “It's weird when a hobby becomes a job," said Joe Ray in an interview with Spinner. "We've found it really important to try to get the same enjoyment we used to when we started making music, just messing around in our free time with no big plans.” Ray also commented about the group’s appreciation for its fans in the United States and how the audience shows its love for Nero’s musical elements.

Tickets for the show can be purchased through Voyeur’s website.
