Police have found the car of missing musician Erick Wales at Chicano Park. The Saturn Ion was found by parking enforcers about 9 a.m. on Logan Avenue.
“News of discovering Erick’s car has given us renewed hope that he is nearby,” his father said in a family statement.
Wales, 24, is a former San Diego television news employee at San Diego 6 and a musician. He was last seen Monday, April 19 in Mission Valley leaving for work wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a brown belt.
“Erick’s Mom and I are asking for your help. We know someone has seen Erick. You may work at a hotel, gas station, grocery store, hospital or restaurant. We are looking to you for help,” his father said.
A member of the band Dehra Dun (now defunct), Wales played keyboards and guitar in the ensemble that would become the Silent Comedy.
Wales is described as 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, slender, with blond hair and blue eyes.
