MGMT played two nights at the Fillmore in San Francisco as their new album Congratulations was released.

MGMT, the psychedelic pop duo from Brooklyn, N.Y, stops in San Diego on Thursday on July 15 at S.D.S.U.'s Open Air Theater (O.A.T.)

Touring in support of their lukewarm soph0more effort, Congratulations, the Grammy award-winning act recently performed at Coachella to mixed reviews. In the Coachella audience (consisting of tens of thousands), the crowd had a challenging time digesting new material, while classics such as "Kids" and "Time to Pretend" produced a deafening response. Despite the disconnect with the new material, seeing MGMT live is definitely a good time, and the O.A.T., a tremendous venue.

Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m.
