LollapaGaga

The lineup for Lollapalooza 2010, scheduled for Aug. 6-8 in Chicago's Grant Park, was unveiled with some major surprises. In addition to Green Day, the Strokes and Arcade Fire, the destination festival shocked fans with the announcement of appearances by the newly reunited Soundgarden and theatrical-diva Lady Gaga

Lollapalooza veterans Soundgarden resurfaced at a 2009 Pearl Jam show and have been rumored to be rehearsing recently in Seattle. Gaga, known for her outrageous costumes and wild stage antics, is no stranger to playing large festivals, but Lollapalooza seems like an odd fit ... or, given the diversity of the fest, does it make perfect sense? Regardless, the big question among Lady Gaga fans is what will she wear? Given the Chicago heat and her recent video for "Telephone," I'm guessing next to nothing.

Other highlights include Phoenix, Social Distortion, MGMT, Erykah Badu and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (performing April 15 at Belly Up Tavern). San Diego is represented on the Lollapalooza bill with the inclusion of Point Loma/O.B.'s Slightly Stoopid and the former San Diegans in the Soft Pack (currently in Los Angeles).
