Korn Announces SD Date on Summer Tour

One of many pre-sales starts Tuesday, March 6

The best parts of summer? The sun, the smiles, the tans and the barbecues. Nothing announces summer’s arrival better than the sweet sizzle of corn on the grill. But I think the only thing that tops an ear of corn is an earful of Korn.

Corny jokes aside, that earful of Korn is coming to you on Tuesday, June 20, from the newly anointed Mattress Firm Amphitheatre in Chula Vista. Rock 1053 is presenting quite the bill for the band’s San Diego stop on this year’s Serenity of Summer tour. The bill features Islander, Yelawolf, Baby Metal and direct support, Stone Sour.

With two Grammy Awards won and over 40 million albums sold, Korn is no laughing matter when it comes to modern hard rock and nu-metal. In October, they released their newest album, “The Serenity of Suffering,” which includes their Grammy-nominated single, “Rotting in Vain.”

That’s the simple stuff. Now, here’s where it gets a little bit complicated, so get ready: Pre-sale tickets for fan club and VIP members go up on Tuesday, March 7, at 10 a.m. at www.Korn.com. The Citi Cardmembers pre-sale starts at noon on March 7, with details at www.CitiPrivatePass.com. Meanwhile, Live Nation’s pre-sale starts on Wednesday, March 8, at 10 a.m., followed by Spotify and Blabbermouth pre-sales on Thursday, March 9, at 10 a.m. Note that all pre-sales end March 9 at 10 p.m. The rest of the tickets will go public on Friday, March 10, at 10 a.m. at www.LiveNation.com. For more details, you can check out www.Korn.com/tour.
