The Country Clubs are expanding! Usually a Monday night ritual at the Tin Can, Matt Strachotta (aka "Banjo Matt") and Grampa Drew will be playing your favorite tunes this afternoon at the Whistle Stop. With bands like the Hollerin and Brothers Weiss at Soda Bar later, it's time to bust out your boots and Stetsons for a whole day of country-fried tunes. Or you can head to the Casbah tonight, where legendary trippy punkrockers Redd Kross return, or head to the House of Blues for a slew of '80s tribute bands. If you're looking for something fun earlier in the day, the Digital Gym on El Cajon Boulevard is hosting a community music exchange, where you sign up to play some favorite music for the crowd who will then share some of their favorite tunes, too. Mixtapes might be a thing of the past, but it's always cool to hear what your friends are listening to and this is a new forum to do just that.
