Humphreys Unveils Lineup

It's that time of the year when you plan the rest of your musical Point Loma summer.

The folks at Humphreys Concerts By the Bay -- which is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2011 -- posted their full summer calendar on its website on Sunday morning.

Kicking off this year's season is James Blunt, whose show, along with performances by Adele, Yanni and Chris Cornell, have been on sale for some time already.

Other than those shows, with one exception, tickets at the iconic venue go on sale on April 9 at 10 a.m. at Humphreys Restaurant and all Ticketmaster outlets. They will also be available at Ticketmaster or by phone at 800-745-3000 (the exception of Matthew Morrison on July 20, which will go on sale on April 15 at 10 a.m.).

As is usually the case, there is something for everyone at Humphreys, and this year is no exception. Everybody from classic rockers like the Moody Blues and George Thorogood and the Destroyers to reggae star Matisyahu to jazz greats George Duke, Marcus Miller and David Sanborn to comedians George Lopez and Steve Martin will take the stage by the bay this summer.

Some of the other shows that stand out this year: Diana Ross on Sept. 13, B.B. King on Aug. 15 and a pairing of Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt.
