Fans of the iconic Shelter Island live-music venue got a little taste of what to expect this season at Humphreys Concerts By the Bay.
Folks who like a beautiful view with their music can already buy tickets for the classically trained rock violinist Lindsay Stirling (May 13) and the “Jar of Hearts” singer Christina Perri (the following day), but can also look forward to shows by the red-headed stranger himself, Willie Nelson, who will return to Humphreys on April 4; Matchbox 20 frontman Rob Thomas, who is slated to appear on April 6; as well as Canadian singer/songwriter Dallas Green’s project City and Colour, who will perform April 15; and Bryan Ferry, who is famed for fronting Roxy Music, will take the stage on April 17.
Humphreys, which will be celebrating is 33rd year in 2014, had another impressive lineup last year, with everybody from Tegan and Sara to Lyle Lovett to Melissa Etheridge on the schedule. Over the years, stars like Robert Plant, B.B. King, Sinead O’Connor and San Diego’s own Jewel have also performed.
