They're Going From Garage to Glory

DJ Robin Roth, who's hosting SoundDiego LIVE XVI on Dec. 1 at Bootlegger in San Diego's East Village, handpicked the artists in this month's digital battle of the bands, Garage to Glory IV.

This month fans had to choose between Archery for the Blind, East of Sweden and the Mosaic Quartet. When voting wrapped up on Monday, Archery for the Blind was the clear front-runner. Here's why Roth selected them for Garage to Glory:

"Mike Gross, bassist for Archery for the Blind, is all over the place when it comes to local shows," Roth told us. "That's the one thing I think is really important for musicians: getting out and seeing other bands play, and going to as many shows as you can. Also, getting to know the people who put these shows on. Mike and I have been talking about doing an event together for awhile now, and it's never worked out. This seemed like the right time."

Be sure to join Archery for the Blind on Thursday at this month's hit-and-run bash at Bootlegger -- with free food and free Mission Brewery craft brews -- during a happy hour kicking off at 7 p.m.
