For those out there that may have not had their ear to the rumor mill lately, there had been huge talk about Guns N’ Roses going on tour after their Coachella Music and Arts Festival headlining dates in Indio, California on April 16 and 23. To be honest, those two shows in and of themselves, were enough to give music lovers a huge, er, “appetite for destruction.”

The band, while existing with various lineups throughout the years, announced that original lead guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan would again be joining singer Axl Rose at long last to finally give fans a taste of the old glory days. While not yet confirmed, rumors are still swirling that original guitarist Izzy Stradlin and drummer Steven Adler will be involved for the reunion tour as well.

After the Coachella lineup was unveiled earlier this year, the band announced two back-to-back shows at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on April 8-9, as well as two shows in Mexico City at Foro Sol on April 19-20. But where they would go afterward -- if anywhere -- was still up in the air. That is, until Friday, April 1 rolled around and luckily for us, it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke gone bad.

The band’s upcoming North American "Not In My Lifetime" tour (a title that refers to a joke Axl made once about the band ever getting back together) kicks off in Detroit, Michigan on June 23 and runs through stadium after stadium for two months until culminating right here in San Diego at our ol’ “Sweet Child o’ Mine” Qualcomm Stadium on Aug. 22. Saving the best for last? You betcha.

Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, April 8 at LiveNation.com. Ticket prices range from $49.50 to $250. If you sign up for the Guns N' Roses "Nightrain" fan-club membership, you will receive exclusive access to concert ticket presales. There is a two-ticket presale limit per membership. Fan club members will be notified via email with an early presale opportunity.

In addition, a Citi cardmember presale begins Monday, April 4 at 10 a.m. PST through Thursday, April 7 at 10 p.m. PST through Citi's Private Pass Program. For complete presale details, visit CitiPrivatePass.com.

The last time the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame inductees played San Diego, it was in September of 1992 and they played in the same spot they’ll be playing this August – but that time, it was called Jack Murphy Stadium. Oh, and their tour co-headliners? None other than Metallica. Needless to say, we’re more than ready for the band to return to town. It’s been a long time coming.

“Welcome to the jungle, baby” -- welcome, indeed.

So, do it to it: Four front row tickets and VIP parking to the Guns N’ friggin’ Roses “Not In My Lifetime” San Diego tour stop can be yours – but you’ve to enter our sweepstakes in order to have a shot at winning, and the contest ends at 10 p.m. on April 7! Get in while the gettin's good!
