Our entire trip to SxSW 2011 could be summed up in two words: brutally beautiful. Still taking in everything that we saw and did, but I do know that is was a blast all the same.

It's important in the midst of all that is SxSW to meet as many people as you can. You never really know who they are and while doing that maybe catch up with old friends who you haven't seen for a while or make some new ones. Met this guy outside the "Spin" party today.
Friday, 8:19 a.m.
An important lesson was learned last night: The party and music never stop here, and if you're not careful, you could end up at some strange rager till 5 in the morning and then realize you have to get up for an early load-in. Luckily, there's free coffee and doughnuts at the convention center. Looking forward to Day 2, and, who knows?, maybe we'll even get some sleep at some point.

Just finished our first set of SxSW at Klub Krucial and feeling revived from the long car ride. There is general friendly chaos in the hot air, and it's still early. So many bands to seem so little time, and it's amazing how many friends you can unexpectedly run into. Looking forward to the next two days to come. Let the good times roll.

After two hours of sleep on a hardwood floor, we awoke this morning. Large, excited crowds. All exhaustion has been alleviated, and we will be enjoying our complementary breakfast and free Lone Stars. Let the games begin and the good times roll. First show today at Klub Krucial, followed by an eventful day of free amazing music.

Little to no sleep, half-delirious and ready to destroy.

Woke up from a long nap at a gas station and went to use the facilities. Saw this and thought, 'Oh, we must be in Texas.' "

We're not in Cali any more.

After a farewell night at the Soda Bar, it's time to take this party to Texas.
We hit the road around 2 this morning, working in shifts through the long desert roads with 5-Hour Energies, fresh coffee, fresh cigarettes and excitement.
