Growing up in Santee and going to concerts for years paid off for host Daye Salani.
It landed him the gig that may be the coolest in San Diego - hosting SoundDiego's TV show.
“I love seeing live music. Always have,” Salani told U-T San Diego. “I believe it keeps us young.”
The UT recently published a profile of Salani who has been bringing local bands and national touring acts to San Diego's music fans every Saturday night for four years.
Salani reveals his favorite performances of 2014 and his ideal San Diego weekend in the piece.
Check it out here and watch Salani this weekend after "SNL" on NBC 7.
