Coachella Tickets Going On Sale

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has announced the dates for its 2014 weekends.

In recent years, the festival has adopted a two-weekend model, with the same lineup playing on back-to-back weekends. In 2014, weekend one will fall on April 11 - 13 and weekend two will take place on April 18 - 20.

Now hold on just a goshdarn, rootin'-tootin' minute, you're probably thinking to yourself in those exact words. Why should I care about festival dates that are almost a year away?

Well, the reason you should care is that tickets for 2014's Coachella will go on sale this Friday, May 24 at 10 a.m. Pacific time. And seeing as how tickets for both weekends of the 2013 festival sold out within 24 hours, if you snooze this time, you will most definitely lose.

And here's another word to the wise: you will need an account set up to be able to purchase tickets, and you won't want to deal with that on Friday when Coachella's servers are bombarded with everyone and their hipster uncle beating you to the punch for tickets.

So go create an account now -- click here for weekend one and here for weekend two. You'll be very glad you did it ahead of time. And seeing as how tickets for Coachella will run you around $350, you might want to read up on some of the ticket payment plans as well.

Of course, the actual lineup for Coachella won't be announced for months, and for all we know the festival will be headlined by a reunited Candlebox, but that shouldn't stop it from selling out in a SoCal minute.
