Carla Morrison Debuts en Inglés

The two-time Latin Grammy winner Carla Morrison debuts her first English-language release and announces a U.S. tour

Latin Grammy-winning Baja darling Carla Morrison is debuting en inglés with her new online release, “The Truth.” Having lived both sides of la frontera, many of her non-Spanish speaking fans have been asking her to produce songs in English. On Cinco de Mayo, Morrison satisfied their curiousity with a hopelessly romantic ukele and piano ballad released online through SoundCloud. She crafted the recording in her home, playing the ukelele in pajamas with Alejandro Jimenez on keys -- where I'm sure her two Grammys sit (in a recent interview she told me her Grammys would find a home on top of her piano).

Learn why you should love Carla Morrison, too.

Morrison tweeted, “I really wanted to compose something ... in English. Something so my nephews could understand.”

Her fans have been tweeting praise since the track's release. "Coming home from a 12-hour shift and I hear a new @CarlaMorrisonmx song, en ingles! Great way to end my night. ❤" @foxdanti tweeted.

In addition to this debut, Morrison announced a tour of six U.S. cities, including a stop in San Diego.
